The Lagos state governor and his entourage stopped some soldiers from maltreating a common man.
The soldiers were so merciless and heartless to a common defenseless market load carrier. The incidence happened as at the time the governor 's entourage was passing, which was seen as a divine intervention by the helpless man.
The man was seriously beaten and kept in the booth of the car of the soldiers, and the booth was filled with kegs of petrol. The man was almost dead when the Governors aides removed him from the car booth.
I wonder why our security forces that should protect Nigerians are the ones killing Nigerians. Recently a policeman killed three people and himself. And we have many of such incidents this year alone. Many citizens have begin to question the professionalism of our forces, when it comes to the lives of defenseless people. I pay our security forces will not push the citizens to defending themselves with arms, as we have seen in some regions of the nation.
Nigerian soldiers, policemen and even the LASTMA officials earn salaries and they will pay their transport fares to public transports , claiming "STAFFS", What a shame to all Nigerian security forces, especially those posted to Lagos state.
I am very happy with what the Lagos state Governor did to save the life of a common man from the hands of shameless military men. Many have questioned the commitment of Nigerian soldiers to save and protect the Nation and citizens, with such actions as this.
